MONTICELLO, Mo. — All Lewis County severe weather sirens will now be tested at 11 a.m. on the second Monday of the month weather permitting, starting this month.
The change affects sirens in Canton, LaGrange, LaBelle, Lewistown and Wakonda State Park.
The Northeast Missouri Emergency Communication Center said it made the change to standardize testing across the county. In the event of the inclement weather, testing will be postponed one day.
Reminders will be posted the morning of the test on the Northeast Missouri Emergency Communications Center's Facebook Page.
