QUINCY -- A Quincy man was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into child pornography distribution on a social media network.

Mark D. Stajduhar, 31, of 1907 S. 12th, was arrested on a warrant of three counts of distribution of child pornography about 5 p.m. near South Eighth and Adams.

The Quincy Police Department said that while working with the Illinois attorney general's office in May, it received a cybertip regarding the distribution of child pornography through social media, and during the investigation, Stajduhar became the main suspect.

Police said Stajduhar was identified as a suspect in a previous child pornography investigation.

In 2017, police said the department received a tip about possible child pornography sharing through social media. During the investigation, a search warrant was served at Stajduhar's home, and police said he was identified as the main suspect. He and other occupants in the home were interviewed, and all were released. The results of the investigation are pending.

Police said that after Stajduhar's arrest, search warrants were served for his home and his vehicle.

Bond on the warrant was set at $200,000, and he was taken to the Adams County Jail.
