Paris man injured in crash west of Stoutsville

STOUTSVILLE, Mo. -- A Paris man was injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash on U.S. 24 west of Stoutsville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Michael A. Pollitt, 19, of Paris, was heading east at 1:40 p.m. when it drove into the rear of a 2021 Kenworth semi driven by Patrick R. Minter, 35, of Monroe City, and stopped at a construction zone one mile west of Stoutsville.

Pollitt was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

The patrol was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Monroe City Ambulance and Paris Fire Department.
