QUINCY -- Adams County has reported the third COVID-19-related death in the county -- the second this week.
In its update Saturday, the Adams County Health Department said a woman in her 70s has contracted the virus.
The department reported 15 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the county's total to 402.
The cases are:
º Two men and one woman in their 20s.
º One man in his 30s.
º Two men and one woman in their 40s.
º Three men and five women in their 50s.
The department said there are 99 active cases in the county, and the seven-day positivity for cases is 3.46%.
Ten people in their 40s to 90s remain hospitalized in the county -- two in the intensive care unit.
The department encourages residents to continue to do their part to reduce the spread of the virus, including wearing face masks in public spaces, frequently washing hands, staying home when ill and avoiding large gatherings.
