Larry F. Lamb, age 82, of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Quincy, died on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:07 pm in Mount Sterling Health and Rehab Center.

He was born on March 17, 1944, in Alton, Illinois, a son of Bernard and Blanche Simpson Lamb. Larry married Berniece Ringering on April 19, 1963 in Alton, Illinois. She survives.

Larry was a dedicated Xerox technician for 35 years. A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his faith was an important part of his life and was reflected in passion for missionary work. Larry enjoyed pursuing family history, photography, woodworking, writing poetry, and playing the steel guitar. Above all, he valued the time he spent with his family and the relationships he built throughout his life.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Berniece, include four children; Kathy (Jim) VanAntwerp of Independence, MO, Cindy (Dennis) Dix of Fowler, IL, Tom (Melanie) Lamb of Camp Point, IL, and Bobby (Ana) Lamb of Wimauma, FL; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ralph Junior Simpson, and a great-grandson, William VanAntwerp.

Graveside Service: 10:00 am on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Greenmount Cemetery, with Bishop Jim VanAntwerp officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
