Marjorie L. Spoonmore age 92, of Quincy died on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living Center. She was born in Quincy on June 11, 1933, a daughter of John H. and Antoinette M. (Blaesing) Willer.
Marge married Herbert V. Hollensteiner on February 17, 1954, in St. Francis Catholic Church, he preceded her in death on July 6, 1955. She married Jack Spoonmore on February 4, 1966, in St. Francis Catholic Church and he preceded her in death February 15, 2013.
She graduated from St. Michael’s School with the 8th Grade Class of 1947. Marge went on to earn her GED in 1981. She then worked for Adams County Home Health Service as a Health Aide for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Francis and served on the funeral luncheon committee.
A devoted homemaker and mother, she loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.
Marge served as an election judge for Ellington Township. A natural caregiver, she cared for her mother and brother who were wheel-chair bound. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

Larry (Mardi) Ybarra of Sterling, IL; Dennis (Barb) Spoonmore of Hannibal, MO; John (Debi) Spoonmore of Libby, MT; Darlene (Terry) Obert; Boyd (Becky) Spoonmore; Guy (Rebecca) Spoonmore; Troy (Gina) Spoonmore and Dawn (Andy) Patton; and Craig (Jill) Spoonmore all of Quincy. One sister: Kathy (Larry) Klauser of Quincy.
Grandchildren: Renee (Josh) Markert; Larry (Sarah) Ybarra; Nicole (Derek) Green; Joy (Jason) Gibson; Jason and Jeff (Meghan) Obert; Matthew Spoonmore; Erik Spoonmore; Dusty Jo Spoonmore; Afina (Jeremy) Dedrick; Quentin (Elizabeth) Spoonmore; Garrett (Faith) Spoonmore; Edward (Brandi) Spoonmore and Benjamin Spoonmore; Allison (Joe) Spoonmore, Bryan (Matt) Spoonmore, and Kelsey (Drew) Forrest; Derek (April) and Mitchell Middendorf, Leah (Jacob) Gresham and Curt Middendorf; Ethan and Jeremy (Jordan) Patton; Ryan, Devon and Lucas (Stevie) Spoonmore; Emily (William) Henry, Allyson (Cory) Williams, Alec Ansusinha, Erin (Andrew) Kobbeman. Thirty-nine Great-Grandchildren and one great-great grandchild due in July.
Many nieces and nephews also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Herbert and Jack; her stepmother, Dorothy Willer, her daughter Gloria Ybarra, two great grandsons, Dalton Gibson and Carter Dedrick; two sisters and their husbands, Anna Mae (John) Hollensteiner, Barb (Marvin) Speckhart, a sister Carol in infancy, and her brother Roger Willer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the K of C. T.V. Mass or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
