Married 50 years: Michael & Margaret Hayes

Michael and Margaret Hayes, of Quincy, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Australia and New Zealand this fall.
Michael Hayes, and the former Margaret Kaiser, were married June 19, 1976 at the historic J. Warren Head residence in Palmyra, MO. Their wedding was the third wedding held at this residence.
The couple have 3 children; Kristi (Don) Estes of Arvada, CO., Lindsay (Steven) Taylor of Auburn, WA. and Emily Hayes of Springfield, IL. They are also proud grandparents to seven grandchildren.
Michael is a retired educator who worked in the Fort Zumwalt and Quincy Public school districts for 33 years.
Margaret is a retired educator who worked in the Lewis County, Fort Zumwalt, Quincy Public and Hannibal Public school districts for 29 years.
Margaret enjoys weight training, pickleball, golf, and biking. Michael enjoys working out, biking, golf and tennis. Together, they enjoy visiting their children and grandchildren and traveling throughout the world. One of their goals is to visit all 50 U.S. States.
