Reverend Dr. John Henry Mims, 96, of Quincy, IL, passed away Thursday June 4th, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. A visitation will be Saturday June 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Quincy. Funeral celebration will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday June 22, 2026, at Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Army Funeral Honors Guard and the American Legion Post 37
