Dianne Murceel Warning, of Cold Spring, MN, formerly of Camp Point, IL, passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on January 8, 1939, in Quincy, Illinois. Dianne grew up with many fond memories of early childhood homes in both Carman, IL, and Saverton, MO. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1957 with Honors.
Dianne worked as an assembler at The Motorola Corporation and later in life applied her circuit board experience learned at Motorola as a Quality Control Supervisor handling Military contracts at Trescomp Inc. in Quincy, IL.
Dianne was involved in both civic and volunteer work. She was extremely proud to be one of the first EMT’s in Adams County. True to her Catholic faith, she served the Lord and community at the Blessing Hospitality House for many years.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Silas Verdon and Myrtle (Milbert) Thomas; son, Leslie Dean (at birth); sister, Patricia (Billy) Mcgraw, of Liberty, IL; nephew, Stephen (Vicky) Carlstead, of Georgetown, IL. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Clyde Luther Warning, of Cold Spring, MN; son, Wesly Clyde Warning, of Saint Joseph, MN.
Dianne and Clyde met at a barn dance outside of Payson, Illinois, and were married in Quincy, Illinois, on July 6, 1957. Inseparable from that point on, they were side by side thru all of life’s ups and downs and were only separated for any length of time once… when Clyde served his country in the US Army in Korea. They loved to travel and made many lifelong friends while camping in their RV. They especially enjoyed their 20 year “Winter Texan” getaways at El Valle Del Sol in the Texas Valley near MIssion, TX.
The family would like to thank Benedictine Living Community of Cold Spring and Saint Croix Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Dianne in her final days. Also, the many caring and loving in-home care specialist services over the years including Centracare and Advantara of MN.
It was Dianne’s wish that she be interred at a later date with her husband, Clyde, upon his passing at Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy, IL, where he will receive full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Dianne’s honor to Saint Croix Hospice.
