QUINCY — The John Wood Community College Board of Trustees passed the school’s 2026-27 fiscal year budget at Wednesday’s regular meeting, with a small increase over the previous year’s effort.

JWCC will see a budget for the new fiscal year of $19.6 million, just about $42,000 more than last year. With enrollment making up more than 43% of the school’s revenue, this year will see an increase of $5 per credit hour for students enrolled at the college.

Along with getting the budget sorted for the new year, the board also approved a lease for office space at JWCC’s Southeast Education Center. The 11-month lease will allow the West Central Area on Aging to set up in the school’s Pittsfield location.
