Investigation continues into Tuesday morning arson fire

QUINCY — The Quincy Fire Department (QFD) and Quincy Police Department (QPD) continue to investigate an early Tuesday morning fire, considered to be arson, that damaged a Quincy home.
QFD responded at 1 a.m. for a structure fire at 2317 Waters.
A neighbor returned home and found the flames around the perimeter of the home. The neighbor and residents were able to control the fire until QFD crews arrived and finished extinguishing the flames. The home sustained minimal damage, QFD said in a news release, and no one was injured.
QFD said the scene was investigated and is considered to be arson.
Three engines and the incident commander responded for QFD, with 10 personnel.
QFD was assisted by Adams County Ambulance and QPD.
