It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Kobin James Baker, born on April 17, 2024, in Quincy, IL. Tragically, he left us on August 2, 2026, at 3:57 PM at Blessing Hospital surrounded by family.

Kobin brought immense joy and love to our lives. He is survived by his loving parents, Danielle and Jeremy Baker; his brothers, Bryce, Colton, Cru, and Rowan; his sister, Izzy; and his cherished grandparents: Carma and Larry Caldwell, Sharon and Kim Lambert, and Ron and Annette Baker.

Kobin was blessed with a close-knit family, including his aunts Kristyn (Lucas) Arens, Bri (Justin) Schaefer, Rachel (Scott) Ambre, Yessica (Thomas) Peck, Carlos Shipley. Kobin shared a special bond with his cousins, Aria and Jayden. Together, they were known as the triplets, along with Ashton and Macklin. Kobin loved his siblings dearly and was determined to keep up with everything they did, often thinking of them as real superheroes. Kobin was full of happiness, toughness and always willing to snuggle.

One of Kobin’s favorite hobbies was spending Sunday mornings golfing with his mom, dad, and Grandma and Grandpa Caldwell, while his brothers attended Sunday school and church. We will forever cherish those one-on-one moments. He also found joy at the dog park, where he loved swinging and playing on the playground equipment donated by his great uncle & aunt, Bill & Jill Caldwell. Kobin had a special talent for convincing his babysitter, Amy, to take him to the dog park, where he created countless joyful memories with his daycare friends and brothers.

Kobin enjoyed going to work with his mommy, where he received attention from everyone at Design It and made sure to take as many snacks and drinks as possible. He delighted in his favorite foods—“pop pop” for popcorn, hot dogs, and Cheetos. His playful nature extended to his favorite TV show, Blippi, which he would always request to watch. He won many battles for control over the TV.

Kobin had a love for the outdoors and adventure. He loved his papa’s boats at the Lake of the Ozarks, and tugs on the river. Kobin loved a good boat ride and Jet Ski ride. Riding on his dad’s lawn mower and tractor was another of his favorite pastimes, and, of course, getting whatever he wanted from Grandma Carma. He brought lots of laughter to all who watched him play.

Kobin will be in heaven with his great grandparents and our best buddy, Stef (Stefanie Collins), which brings comfort to our family during this difficult time. We will miss his laughter, smile, and the love he brought into our lives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Canton, Missouri with Reverends Brian Stone and Lance Bonnell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 11 AM until the time of services at the First Baptist

Church of Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canton Dog Park in his honor.

Pallbearers: Bryce Baker, Colton Baker, Lucas Arens and Justin Schaefer.

Honorary Pallbearers: Cru Baker and Rowan Baker.

Arrangements are with Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton.
