QUINCY — The Adams County Bicentennial Commission will hold a time capsule dedication ceremony Sunday at 4 p.m. in Washington Park, part of the county’s yearlong celebration marking 200 years of history.
The public is invited to attend the free event, during which commission members and community leaders will reflect on the significance of the bicentennial and formally dedicate the county’s official time capsule. The capsule is intended to preserve items representing life in Adams County today for future generations to discover.
Additional remarks are planned from community leaders and project partners who helped organize the time capsule initiative.
Organizers described the dedication as one of the signature events of the bicentennial celebration, offering residents a chance to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
