Cornerstone’s annual dinner is sure to tickle the funny bone.

Jim Wiggins, billed as “the last hippie in America” and a semifinalist on the NBC show “Last Comic Standing,” will headline the entertainment at the dinner, set for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Tony’s Too, 4821 Oak.

Johnny Beehner, who has trained at Chicago’s Second City and appeared on “Last Comic Standing,” also will appear.

“We try to keep this a fun, festive type of thing,” said John Hirner, executive director of Cornerstone.

Another feature will be a silent auction.

“This year’s auction should be great,” said Anita Failor, a Cornerstone board member. “We are especially excited about auctioning Barack Obama’s book, ‘The Audacity of Hope,’ which has been personally signed by the president-elect.”

Other auction items include a week condo stay in Arizona and “A Dinner with the Friars.”

The theme of Cornerstone’s annual dinner is “Celebration of Hope.”

Tickets are $50 per person and are available by calling Cornerstone at 222-8254. The reservation deadline is Jan. 23.

Cornerstone provides mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families and children.
