Iowa woman injured in crash west of Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Mo. — An Iowa woman was injured in a moped crash west of Alexandria.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2008 Yamaha moped driven by a 31-year-old Keokuk, Iowa, woman was heading east at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 136, 1 mile west of Alexandria. When the driver lost control of the moped, it overturned, the patrol said, ejecting the driver.

The woman was taken by Clark County Ambulance to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison with moderate injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and Clark County Ambulance.
