Pike County sheriff’s office releases weekly arrest log

PITTSFIELD — Local law enforcement officers booked 13 individuals on charges ranging from felony domestic violence and burglary to drug possession and outstanding warrants between July 20 and July 26, according to records released by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
Facing the most severe allegations is Phillip L. Embree, 35, of Perry. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office arrested Embree on July 26 on charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, unlawful restraint, and resisting arrest, along with an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant for violating conditions of parole. He remained held in custody following his arrest.
In another major case, 30-year-old Hayden E. Duncan of Barry was taken into custody by deputies on July 22 on a charge of burglary. Duncan was released later that same day.
Methamphetamine charges were brought against two men during the week. Michael D. Rohn, 34, of Griggsville, was arrested July 22 for possession of methamphetamine and an active failure-to-appear warrant, before being released July 23. On July 24, deputies arrested Bryan L. Pults, 55, of Nebo, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and illegal transportation or possession of liquor by a driver. Pults was released from custody later that day.
In a separate domestic incident, Nathaniel D. Christison, 37, of Barry, was arrested July 24 on a charge of domestic battery, remaining in custody following his arrest.
The remainder of the week’s police action involved outstanding court warrants, body attachments, and failures to appear. On July 24, deputies arrested Lane A. Clark, 26, of Beardstown, on a warrant for failure to appear at an arraignment, and he remained held in custody.
Nine other individuals were arrested and subsequently released after processing for outstanding warrants or failure-to-appear body attachments. These included Scotty L. Strawbridge, 49, of Royal Lake, who was arrested July 21 and released July 22; Mason L. Smith, 26, of New Salem, who was arrested July 22; Jeremy R. Carnes, 39, and Zachary P. Banfield, 33, both of Pittsfield, who were both arrested July 23; Stephanie A. Shelton, 48, of Barry, who was arrested July 23; Gregory A. Fentress, 37, of Pleasant Hill, who was arrested July 25; Brandi Renee Cannam, 56, of Barry, who was arrested July 25 and released July 26; and Christopher B. Bogue, 35, of Pearl, alongside Rebekah L. Kendall, 57, of Barry, who were both arrested July 20.
Suspects are considered to be innocent until judged otherwise in a court of law.
