Five injured in two-vehicle crash on Highway 336 near Baseline Road

QUINCY — Five people were injured Sunday afternoon when two vehicles collided on Highway 336 near Baseline Road, prompting a lengthy closure of the northbound highway during a busy weekend for the Adams County Fair.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the crash at approximately 3:02 p.m. Sunday. Adams County Ambulance and Air Evac, a medical helicopter service, assisted at the scene.

Northbound Highway 336 was shut down from Highway 24 to N. 1925th for several hours following the crash. Authorities asked drivers headed to the Adams County Fair to instead take Highway 24 to E. 1250th and continue north from there.

The crash remains under investigation.
