Crash west of Hannibal injures teen

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Thursday afternoon crash on U.S. 36 west of Hannibal injured a Virginia teen.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a northbound 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a 23-year-old Wytheville, Va., man traveled into the path of a 2000 Volvo VNL driven by a 53-year-old Shelbyville man at 3:20 p.m.

A passenger in the Grand Prix, a 15-year-old Rural Retreat, Va., male, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
