Motorcycle-car crash seriously injures two from Hannibal

HANNIBAL — A motorcycle-car crash left two people with serious injuries Friday evening in Hannibal, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2026 CF Moto motorcycle, driven by a 19-year-old Hannibal man, was traveling southbound on U.S. 61 at West Ely Road at 7:08 p.m. when it failed to yield to a traffic signal. The motorcycle then struck an eastbound 2009 Mercury Milan driven by a 55-year-old Palmyra, Missouri, woman.
The driver of the motorcycle and his passenger, a 21-year-old Hannibal woman, suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by Survival Flight to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
The Hannibal Police Department, Marion County Ambulance, and Hannibal Fire Department assisted the highway patrol at the scene.
