Crash seriously injures Vandalia man

CURRYVILLE, Mo. — A Pike County crash seriously injured a Vandalia man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by a 66-year-old Vandalia man was heading east at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 54, west of Route U, when it left the right side of the road, returned to the road and crossed the center lane before leaving the left side of the road and striking a tree stump.

The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pike County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital-Lake Saint Louis with serious injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department.
