Reconstruction of Cherry and 13th streets set to begin Monday

QUINCY — Reconstruction of streets and infrastructure is expected to have two streets near Berrian Park closed for three months starting on Monday.

Work will start Monday morning on the project that will see Cherry Street between North 12th and North 13th along with North 13th from Chery to Chestnut streets closed for replacement of water mains, sidewalks and curb upgrades, and new pavement.

The affected streets will be closed to through traffic during the project and parking along North 13th near the Berrian Park pickleball/tennis court area will be restricted.

Drivers, walkers, bicyclists, and others using the area are advised to plan for alternate routes during the work and to expect increases in traffic on surrounding streets. Drivers are reminded to operate with caution near any construction zone.
