One dies, two injured in crash east of Golden

GOLDEN, Ill. — One died and two were injured Wednesday night in a side-by-side versus SUV crash east of Golden.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department said the side-by-side with two occupants was heading west at 9:14 p.m. on N 2500th Ave. and the SUV with one occupant was heading south on E 2903rd Lane when they collided.

One occupant of the side-by-side was pronounced dead at the scene. The second occupant was air lifted to Springfield Memorial Hospital, and the driver of the SUV was taken by Adams County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital.

The department was assisted by Adams County Ambulance, Clayton Fire, Camp Point Fire and Illinois State Police.
